For most of my life, my skin has been sensitive. I’ve dealt with rosacea, dermatitis, eczema, and all the trial and error that tends to come with trying to manage skin like that. For a long time I was in the cycle a lot of people with sensitive skin know well, trying every product, routine, and treatment that promised results. Some things helped, but a lot of the time my skin felt more confused and reactive than when I started.

Over time I realized that sensitive skin usually isn’t asking for more steps or more aggressive treatments. Most of the time it just needs someone to slow down, pay attention, and support what the skin is already trying to do.

That realization is a big part of what led me here.

Before becoming an esthetician, I spent several years working in the corporate world. While the work was stable, I started to feel increasingly disconnected from the kind of work that actually felt meaningful to me. I missed connecting with people in a real way and being part of the community around me.

Going to esthetician school was one of the biggest pivots I’ve ever made, and definitely one of the scariest. But it also felt like stepping into something that made sense for the first time in a long while.

Soft Form grew out of both of those experiences. My own long journey with sensitive skin and the desire to create a space where skincare feels thoughtful, supportive, and genuinely human.

skin philosophy

At Soft Form, the goal isn’t to push your skin harder. It’s to help it function better.

A lot of modern skincare focuses on doing more, stronger treatments, stronger products, faster results. While that approach can work for some people, it often leaves sensitive or reactive skin feeling overwhelmed and stuck in a cycle of irritation.

My approach focuses on strengthening and supporting the skin barrier first. When the skin is calm, hydrated, and functioning properly, it becomes much more responsive to treatment over time.

That means taking a slower and more intentional approach. Treatments are customized depending on what your skin needs that day, not following the exact same steps every appointment. Some visits might focus on calming and restoring the skin, while others may allow for deeper corrective work once the skin is ready.

The goal is long term skin health, not quick fixes.

Because the best results almost always come from consistency, thoughtful treatments, and building a routine that actually works with your skin instead of fighting it.
